Gill Harrison - Associate Professor

As an Associate Professor, I’m inspired by the dedication and commitment of clinical staff who strive to teach ultrasound to high standards and support learners in their departments, despite the many challenges they face with staffing, busy lists and competing demands. Students on the ultrasound programme also inspire me explore new ways to teach ultrasound, to keep them engaged, current and questioning. With the rapid changes in ultrasound practice and education, I’m enjoying the new challenges that brings. This includes working with Health Education England and the many stakeholders, including BMUS, on behalf of the Society and College of Radiographers and the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education, to look at how we can increase clinical training capacity for sonographers in England.
