Kirstie Godson

I qualified as an Advanced Sonographer practitioner in 1999, following a 6-year career in Radiography.  Throughout my sonography profession I have worked continuously for the NHS within various local NHS trust hospitals, as well as working as a locum sonographer for various companies.

I was very fortunate in being offered the opportunity to start a position as a Clinical lecturer Practitioner for Leeds University 4 years ago working 1/2 a day a week on the Post Graduate Diagnostic Imaging Programme.  I now work as a permanent Academic lecturer for the Post Graduate Diagnostic Imaging Programme alongside by clinical post as and Advanced Sonographer Practitioner at Mid Yorkshire NHS trust.

In my spare time I do enjoy the outdoors, however this is more akin to dog walking, gardening rather than the more extreme sports of outdoor life. I also enjoy a good novel when I do not have my head stuck in a physics books or academic articles.
