Obstetric Study Morning in Hull

21st Aug 2021

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in conjunction with the Humber Coast and Vale Local Maternity Services

It’s all about Location, Location, Location (Imaging of the placenta)

It is no longer controversial to state that imaging of the placenta is as important if not more than assessing fetal anatomy

The placenta should be assessed not only in terms of location: anterior versus posterior but location relative to the internal cervical os in all patients and in particular in the setting of a previous LSCS

This study day aims to address assessment of the placenta in terms of risk of praevia but also risk of Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disease PAS

The 1st and 2nd trimester diagnostic appearances of PAS will be addressed and the surgical obstetric management of the diagnosed PAS patient discussed

And of course we can’t let the opportunity of a study day pass by without taking the opportunity to discuss the hot topic of the moment – Uterine Artery Dopplers.

Join us for this relaxed but informative study morning in our dedicated teaching suite.
