Expenses Form and Policy:
Please download an expenses form and our policy here. Please submit your form to joy@bmus.org before 15th January.
Hotels and Accommodation:
BMUS has a dedicated speaker hotel, The Crown, Crown Place Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 2RZ. The BMUS team will arrange your accommodation once we have received your speaker form. This can be found on your official invite from Tracey Clarke. Or you can complete it here.

Speaker Benefits
- Complimentary registration for any day that the speaker is delivering a lecture at the conference (see Note 3).
- Should the speaker also act as a member of faculty in a ‘practical training session’ in addition to delivering a lecture that day; the speaker will be entitled to request a further day’s complimentary registration.
- The Society offers the option of complimentary accommodation in the ‘BMUS preferred hotel’ for any evening prior to the day of working (see Note 7 & 8).
- The Society also offers the option to attend the other days of the conference at the highly discounted rate of £95 per day (this can be booked at the same time as reservations are made for accommodation or the Winter Ball
- Re-imbursement of return economy travel to the conference from the speaker’s home address (see Note 9).
Conference checklist for invited speakers
Complete Speaker form including any hotel accommodation, dietary requirements, additional days and sessions and winter ball tickets. Please aim to complete by 30th September.
Book/arrange travel to the conference. If presenting in the morning we suggest a hotel room the evening before.
