Obstetrics Study Day 2025

12th Sep 2025

Location: Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Beardmore Street, Clydebank, Glasgow, G81 4SA

The programme covers key areas including the ultrasound recognition of placental pathologies and their clinical implications, first-trimester neurosonography of the fetal brain and spine, and the identification of abnormalities in the four-chamber heart and outflow tracts. A forward-looking session will explore the challenges and benefits of archiving fetal heart views, touching on practical, legal, and ethical considerations.

Sonographers will benefit from a focused update on obstetric Doppler use, while a courtroom-inspired session from an expert witness will highlight good practice and lessons from real-life scenarios. The day will also feature a powerful and personal talk on the impact of obstetric incidents on sonographers, offering recommendations for emotional and professional support.

Combining clinical excellence with practical guidance and professional wellbeing, this study day is an essential opportunity for anyone involved in obstetric imaging.
