Compassion in Ultrasound Study Day 2026

16th Apr 2026

SAVE THE DATE

Join us for an engaging and reflective study day exploring the vital role of compassion and communication in ultrasound practice. The programme will cover key topics including governance, current challenges, and managing conflict through effective communication and de-escalation strategies. Sessions will focus on delivering unexpected news sensitively in both obstetric and non-obstetric settings, with attention to available support systems. We’ll also explore wellbeing, self-care, and confidence in professional identity, alongside essential discussions on equality, diversity, and inclusion—addressing transgender healthcare, health inequalities, ethnicity, and human factors. This day offers a blend of practical insight, emotional awareness, and personal development to support compassionate, confident, and inclusive ultrasound practice.

This year, we are also offering delegates the option to attend the Compassion in Ultrasound Study day alongside the Gynaecology Study Day (17th of April). Both events will take place in the same venue on consecutive days, and registration for the combined days will be at a reduced rate.
