Join BMUS Council
Would you like to play a more active role in shaping the future of BMUS?
We are now inviting nominations from UK-based BMUS members to join the BMUS Council. Several positions will become vacant at the end of 2025, offering a valuable opportunity to contribute to the direction and development of the Society.
Council Vacancies:
- 1 Medical Practitioner
- 1 Physicist
- 2 General Council Members
BMUS Council comprises up to 18 members, 12 of whom are elected by the membership. These 12 elected roles must include at least two medical practitioners, two sonographers, and two physical scientists.
Nominations are welcome from all specialties, we are particularly keen to receive applications from Medical Practitioners and Physicists to maintain a balanced representation on Council.
How to Apply:
To submit a nomination, please complete the online nomination form by midnight on Monday 15th September 2025.
Before you begin your application, please ensure you have:
- A proposer and a seconder (both must be BMUS members)
- A short summary of your current role and relevant experience
Please note: Each member may nominate only one candidate.
