This 2 day course and workshop will help you develop a systematic approach to scanning techniques pertinent to head and neck ultrasound and utilise strength of neck US to its full potential. Course delegates will get plenty of opportunity to practice these techniques during Hands on workshop.
The course is aimed at Radiology Residents, Sonographers & Consultant Radiologists with an interest in Head & Neck (H&N) Imaging.

The series of interactive lectures will cover all aspects of neck US, ranging from constituents of the neck, anatomical landmarks and their associated pathologies.
During scenario based talks and hands on workshop you will learn and practice various intervention relevant to head & neck, while primary focus will be on FNA and Core biopsy, advanced intervention techniques will also be covered.
The expert panel discussion, containing radiologists, surgeons, oncologists and cytopathologists, will provide an unique opportunity to ask questions and discuss difficult scenarios.
The course will cover use of cytology in US-guided FNA techniques, including the context of One Stop Clinic. Cytopathologists will help develop the concept to hone the sampling techniques to improve adequacy of obtained samples, ever more so important/crucial for FNA. The Panel discussion will also talk about challenge in setting up FNA clinics and advice.
Overall the course will provide an all rounded approach to head and neck ultrasound, including sampling techniques reinforced by hands-on practice sessions.
