Deputy Editor of Ultrasound (BMUS).

Ultrasound, the journal of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS), is seeking to appoint additional Deputy Editors to join its Editorial Team.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals with an interest in one or more areas of ultrasound and its application in clinical practice. Applications are invited from candidates based in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and internationally.
We are keen for the Editorial team to reflect the membership of BMUS, including Sonographers, Physicists, Radiologists, Academics involved in US teaching and research, and Clinical Practitioners in dedicated areas of US.
We are particularly keen to recruit candidates with an interest and experience in PoCUS, Statistics, Physics and Obstetrics.
Essential criteria
Applicants should:
- Have experience in peer review
- Demonstrate an excellent command of written English.
- Have a strong interest in reading and publishing ultrasound-related work
- Be able to critically appraise manuscripts.
- Be willing to dedicate time to this voluntary role.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in publishing academic or clinical work
- Involvement in academia or research
Deputy Editors are appointed for an initial term of two years, which may be extended by mutual agreement with the Editor-in-Chief.
