Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM)

October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM). MUAM is an opportunity to raise awareness and understanding with the public of ultrasound and its many uses in healthcare. It also provides ultrasound professionals a chance to celebrate their profession.
We will be spending the month celebrating the profession and raising awareness of Ultrasound and all the ways we use it in modern society. Across our social media pages, Ultrapost and website, we will be celebrating and sharing what’s coming up and where you can get involved.
Our BMUS Committee and Special Interest Group Members will be sharing their stories, highlighting Ultrasound, the work they do, the things that inspire them and celebrating all things Ultrasound.
On Thursday 1st October, we will be launching our first awareness-raising challenge! We want you to share a selfie or picture with a caption talking about what you’re thankful for in your role and celebrating someone or lots of people in your community in Ultrasound.
Post your picture to social media with the hashtags #MUAM, #BMUS and ~Ultrasound and tag our social media pages.
