BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society) is looking for a motivated and well‑organised Events Administrator to join our small, friendly team in Central Milton Keynes. This is a 3‑month temporary role, ideal for someone who wants to gain experience in events and administration — with the potential for the post to become permanent as the organisation grows.

About the Role

You will support the delivery of our national education programme, including study days and the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). You’ll also help keep our website updated, support our committee structure, and provide general administrative support across the organisation.

This is a varied and hands‑on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organised, and contributing to the smooth running of events and office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the organisation and delivery of BMUS study days and the Annual Scientific Meeting
  • Manage delegate bookings, payments, and event enquiries
  • Prepare event materials including badges, packs, certificates, and delegate lists
  • Update website content such as webinars, top tips, and specialty pages
  • Provide administrative support to BMUS committees, including arranging meetings and taking notes
  • Assist colleagues during busy periods and contribute to the wider work of the organisation
  • Travel to events across the UK, including occasional overnight stays

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with delegates, speakers, and committee members
  • Comfortable using IT systems and willing to learn new tools
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Flexible, reliable, and positive in their approach
  • Willing to travel and support events outside normal office hours when required

This role is well‑suited to someone early in their career or looking to build experience in events, administration, and charity operations.

How to Apply

Please send your CV and a short covering letter explaining why you’re a great fit for the role to emma@bmus.org
