Apply for Specialist Support in Gynaecology – with the BMUS Travelling Ambassador 2025
Below are some suggested options for support that our Travelling Ambassador can provide during their visit (though other requirements could be met):
- Specialist 1-2-1 support with clinical lists – Focused guidance on complex gynaecological ultrasound, including deep infiltrating endometriosis, oncology, and infertility scans.
- Support and guidance with clinical pathways – Assistance in refining diagnostic pathways, ensuring efficiency in referrals, and optimising patient management.
- Support with guidance and SOPs – Development or enhancement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for gynaecological ultrasound services, including best practices for advanced scanning techniques.
- Tailored support sessions for small groups – Hands-on practical training or case-based discussions on gynaecological ultrasound, adapted to departmental needs.
- Specialist advice for competency-based assessments – Guidance on competency sign-off for gynaecological ultrasound practitioners, supporting training and career progression.
The BMUS Travelling Ambassador for Gynaecology is available to promote best practice and training in specialist gynaecological ultrasound topics to centres that might not otherwise have access to such opportunities.

- 400 words (maximum) on why the BMUS Travelling Ambassadors should visit your centre
- 400 words (maximum) on the support and guidance your department requires from the Travelling Ambassadors
- Which area of support you require - Gynaecology : (see prior)
- Evidence of departmental manager support
