Richard Brindley

Consultant Sonographer, New cross Hospital

Hi, my name is Richard. I have been a sonographer for the last 10-11 years. I started my training at Birmingham children’s hospital where I learnt a great deal about ultrasound and it’s many facets and where I initially discovered my love of MSK ultrasound. Although MSK is probably my favourite, I still have a soft spot for paediatric ultrasound.

I have been a Consultant Sonographer at New cross Hospital for the last 3-4 years, where I have expanded my role to include plain film reporting and ultrasound guided steroid injections. I have been lucky enough to lecture both in-house and at university, currently taking on more responsibilities for teaching and training outside of the normal hospital setting. I still find time to teach students, qualified sonographers and registrars in-house. I am an avid gym goer and love to relax by playing my guitar, when my children let me.
