Vet Stream Study Day 2022

9th Feb 2022

The aim of running a BMUS Vet Stream study day is to unite veterinary and human 'Diagnostic' Medical ultrasound users and allow this multidisciplinary team to support one another professionally within the remit of ultrasound imaging.

The study day is aimed primarily at non-specialist imagers, such a Veterinary Nurses and Primary Care Vets who have very little access to competency based ultrasound training in the way that Medical ultrasound users do. We're also hoping to encourage other Diagnostic medical Sonographers who want to diversify and consider veterinary work as an option.

Ultimately we all want to promote high standards of clinical ultrasound practice and diagnostic confidence by inviting thought-provoking speakers from a multitude of clinical veterinary ultrasound backgrounds, including expert veterinary specialists, in order to share their experiences and invaluable clinical knowledge. This study day will cover areas such as:

  • Ultrasound governance
  • Developing decent doppler skills
  • Emergency ultrasound of the abdomen

and much more. Tools such as case studies, live demonstrations and debate will be used during this day, make sure you check out the programme below and don't miss out.
