Webinar: Imaging of Salivary glands - ultrasound and beyond

Summary:
The salivary glands are affected by a variety of inflammatory and neoplastic conditions. Ultrasound is the best modality for their initial assessment. In this talk we will classify salivary pathology, discuss clinical presentation, demonstrate ultrasound technique and the appearance of a range of inflammatory and neoplastic conditions of the salivary glands. Some tips on the role of other imaging techniques and salivary intervention will also be covered.

Gitta Madani, Consultant Radiologist, Imperial College NHS Trust and Honorary Senior lecturer Imperial College London

Gitta Madani is a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in all aspects of head and neck and skull base radiology and performs image-guided procedures in the head and neck including minimally invasive salivary intervention. She is an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College and involved in research, training and teaching. Her current research interests include thyroid elastography and analysis of compressed airways. She has authored several book chapters, various peer-reviewed articles and national imaging guidelines. She is currently Treasurer of British Society of Head and Neck Imaging.

The webinar will be streamed live at 7pm on Wednesday 23 June and will be complimented by a live Q and A session on Wednesday 23rd June @ 7.45pm
