BMUS 2026 Travelling Ambassador

BMUS is thrilled to announce the 2026 BMUS Travelling Ambassador as Mr Alex Rourke.
With a decade’s experience in ultrasound, Alex Rourke is a sonographer and Advanced Radiographer Practitioner at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Alex has taken the lead on HCC Surveillance at NUH since 2024, implementing a new scanning and reporting protocol for HCC surveillance ultrasound scans. He is part of the BMUS HCC ultrasound surveillance clinical interest group and is currently involved in local and national research. Alex has been faculty at BMUS study day, had poster presentations at BMUS and Association of Early Pregnancy Units conferences, and guest lectured at the University of Derby. Alex has a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and a MSc in Medical Ultrasound. His clinical work includes gen med, obstetrics, gynaecology and cranial ultrasound, as well as ultrasound guided procedures in Interventional Radiology.
