Hepatocellular Carcinoma Ultrasound Surveillance Study Day 2026

This study day is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of ultrasound practitioners performing Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) surveillance imaging. The course will provide an overview of the latest NHS England HCC surveillance guidance released in 2024 and its practical application in clinical practice. Expert faculty will guide delegates through the key principles of high-quality HCC surveillance scanning and reporting.

Through teaching sessions and case-based discussion, attendees will develop confidence in image acquisition, recognising significant findings, and producing clear, effective reports. The programme focuses on supporting practitioners to deliver safe, consistent, and high-standard HCC surveillance within their departments.

By the end of the study day, delegates will feel more confident and competent in performing and reporting HCC surveillance ultrasound examinations in line with current national guidance.

  • Practical Scanning Techniques – Participate in live hands-on demonstrations focusing on optimising ultrasound settings and improving scanning technique for HCC surveillance.
  • Improving Surveillance Services – Explore strategies for auditing HCC surveillance, improving patient attendance, and learning from real clinical case studies to strengthen departmental practice.
