Welcome from the Scientific Chair
The British Medical Ultrasound Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting and
Exhibition returns to Brighton following last years successful meeting. There
are scientific, practical sessions and workshops across all ultrasound
practice, with over 70 invited speakers. We have specialist meetings within the
main conference which all are welcome to attend – the National Point of
Care of Ultrasound (NPoCUS) meeting, and the joint meeting with the Society of
Vascular Technologists. |

| The scientific conference is accompanied by the highly regarded
Technical Exhibition, which will run on days two and three of the conference.
This is the pre-eminent showcase for new and established ultrasound
manufacturers and suppliers to show off their equipment and services across a
wide range of specialties. |

| This year for the first time we are running ‘meet the
expert’ breakfast sessions, and a session dedicated to student
presentations. There is the return of the plenary session, with a 'future of'
theme, and you will see that the rest of the programme has been cleared to
allow everyone to be able to attend. |

| The Plenary session complements the other main invited lecture, the
Donald MacVicar Brown lecture which this year will be given by Dr Paul Dubbins.
We have a very full and varied programme which we hope you enjoy. |
