invitation to BMUS 2008 in Liverpool |
|
 Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008, will be
the venue for the BMUS Annual Scientific Meeting in December. The newly opened
Arena and Convention Centre, in its prime waterfront location, is an ideal
setting for what promises to be a very special event.
In 2008, the format of the BMUS ASM is changing. Core lecture sessions, which
provide basic teaching, state of the art reviews and research papers, will be
supplemented by an expanded range of specialist workshops and practical
sessions supported by the major manufacturers. These themed sessions will
provide more focused, interactive teaching and training, with opportunities for
hands-on practice using leading edge scanning systems. We hope this more
interactive approach will attract a wider audience and provide a template for
the future. In 2008, we will also be celebrating the past as we reach 50 years
since the first contact ultrasound B-scanner was described by Donald, MacVicar
and Brown.
Liverpool in December will be a great place to network with colleagues in the
waterfront bars or enjoy the legendary nightlife in the nearby city centre. I
invite you all to join us in Liverpool for BMUS 2008 - an event not to be
